Ophelia Ravenia, MSW, LCSW

Licensed Clinician

Life can feel overwhelming at times—for children, teens, and adults alike. Maybe your child is struggling with anxiety, ADHD, emotional regulation, or friendships. Perhaps your teen feels misunderstood, overwhelmed by school, or is trying to figure out who they are. Or maybe you're an adult navigating life's challenges while searching for a place where you can simply be yourself. Whatever brings you here, you don't have to face it alone.

I'm Ophelia W. Ravenia, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), and I'm passionate about providing individualized, affirming care to people from all walks of life. I especially enjoy working with neurodivergent and LGBTQIA+ children, adolescents, and adults, creating a space where clients feel accepted, respected, and empowered to grow.

I believe therapy should be as unique as the person sitting across from me. My approach is warm, collaborative, and tailored to your individual needs, incorporating Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), expressive arts, mindfulness, somatic techniques, and traditional talk therapy. Together, we'll build on your strengths, develop practical coping skills, and work toward meaningful, lasting change.

I have a special interest in working with children ages 8 and older, helping them better understand their emotions, build confidence, strengthen coping skills, and navigate challenges both at school and at home. I also enjoy supporting tweens and teens as they explore identity, manage anxiety or ADHD, improve relationships, and discover the confidence to be themselves.

Whether you're experiencing a life transition, learning to manage mental health challenges, or simply hoping to better understand yourself, my goal is to provide a safe, supportive environment for healing, growth, and self-discovery.

I offer in-person therapy in our Taunton, Massachusetts office for children ages 8 and older, teens, and adults, as well as telehealth appointments for individuals ages 15 and older throughout Massachusetts and Rhode Island.

When you're ready to take the next step, I'd be honored to support you on your journey.

Availability:

My Journey

My life’s work has long focused on helping others– whether it’s providing emotional support to a loved one during tough times, or doing community organizing to promote civil rights and food security.

Before becoming a therapist, I spent many years working as a caregiver for adults with disabilities. This work was deeply rewarding, and ultimately put me on the path to a career helping others navigate life’s challenges and work towards becoming their best selves. Years of caregiving took a toll on my body, and in 2021 I pivoted towards a career that allows me to continue helping others while balancing my own well-being.

I am neurodivergent and a proud member of the LGBTQIA+ community. I bring those lived experiences into my philosophy as a therapist, and strive to provide a safe, affirming environment for folks to heal, learn, and grow.

Who I Help

I help folks ages 8 and up, with a focus on providing compassionate and affirming care to neurodivergent and LGBTQIA+ individuals. I work with folks who are navigating life transitions, ADHD, and anxiety.

My Approach to Therapy

Therapy should be collaborative and engaging! After all, you are the expert when it comes to YOU! I work with YOUR strengths, skills, needs, and resources to help you process your experiences, work through your emotions, and build meaningful, individualized skills to help you weather whatever challenges you encounter in life. I integrate CBT, mindfulness, creative arts, psychoeducation, and somatic skills into my therapy work.
