Most people who could benefit from therapy aren’t avoiding it because they don’t want help. They’re avoiding it because the calendar doesn’t cooperate. Between work, family, and everything else, an appointment at 2 PM on a Tuesday can feel impossible.
At Life’s a Journey Counseling, along with day time hours, we offer dedicated WEEKDAY evening hours, 5-8 PM, in office or virtual and Sunday morning between 9 AM-12 PM virtual appointment slots so that prioritizing your relationships and mental health doesn’t mean asking for time off or stressing over conflicting schedules.
Who These Hours Are Designed For
Working professionals. If your days are packed with meetings and deadlines, an evening session gives you a place to decompress and reset before the weekend, without leaving work early or explaining where you’re going.
Couples with busy schedules. When people are juggling separate calendars, finding a time that works for both can become its own source of tension. A set evening or weekend slot makes it easier to show up together, consistently.
LGBTQ+ individuals and couples. LAJC is an affirming, non-judgmental space. Evening and weekend hours give you more flexibility to find a time that feels comfortable and private.
Why Evening and Weekend Sessions Work
No time off work. Attend without using PTO or rearranging your day.
A calmer pace. Sessions outside the standard 9-to-5 window tend to feel quieter and less rushed, so you can settle in and focus.
Easier consistency. Therapy works best when you show up regularly. A predictable slot that doesn’t compete with work is easier to keep.
Space to talk about what matters. Whether you want to strengthen communication, work through a relationship transition, or build healthier dynamics, you’ll have room to do it.
How to Get Started
Because Weekday Evenings and Sunday mornings times are in high demand, openings are filled through a waitlist. Joining now is the best way to secure your spot as availability opens up.
You don’t have to wait for the “right” time in your schedule. We’ve built our hours around your real life.
